Maximilian spent 2 weeks in Brighton in February 2023 and returned with improved English skills and new international friendships.
My stay in Brighton was an incredibly great experience that I will certainly never forget. From the start I felt at home at the EF Residence and my single room was the perfect place to relax after a day of activities.
At school and in the residence you were able to quickly make friends with other participants from all over the world. I still have contact with many EF students today, which I would not have thought before the trip. The teachers were also excellent and I was able to improve my English significantly in a short time.
A highlight of my stay was definitely the beautiful evenings on the beach with my new circle of friends. We watched the sunset, ate together and just enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. After school we always went on outings together – either a bowling evening, a walk along the promenade at Brighton Pier or admiring the panorama from the i360 observation tower.
The proximity to London was another plus. On a Saturday we took a day trip to the British capital. It was incredibly exciting to see all the famous sights and experience the hustle and bustle of the city.
One Sunday I visited the “Seven Sisters”. These are gleaming white cliffs about 90 minutes from Brighton by bus. The drive along the sea was breathtaking and every now and then we passed charming fishing villages.
All in all, I can't emphasize enough how incredible and perfect this experience was. I would go to Brighton again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone who wants to have a great time.
