As a child, it was my dream to travel to Hawaii. Thanks to EF, I was able to realize this dream and improve my language skills at the same time. The trip was a perfect combination of learning, experiencing and discovering. It was an unforgettable journey full of experiences, friendships and breathtaking landscapes. Today I share some of my highlights and insights that made my time so special there.
The first day of school
My first day in the EF language school in Honolulu was exciting and well organized. After checking in with the necessary documents such as passport and visa, we took photos for our student ID. The introduction was very informative: the school rules were explained to us, important security instructions and the school management and teachers presented. I found it particularly impressive how much emphasis was placed on security and support – even with weekend trips, care was taken to ensure that someone knew where we were.
The spin classes, so -called optional subjects, were a special highlight. Here I was able to choose courses like surfing, yoga or ukulele, who fit perfectly to my stay in Hawaii. The schedule was designed in such a way that I had time for learning as well as for excursions and activities. After the introduction, there was a classification test, followed by a tour of the campus and the surrounding area. The day ended relaxed, so I was ready for regular lessons the next day.
My highlights in Hawaii
It is difficult to name just a highlight, because Hawaii impressed me with everything: the friendly people, the unique nature and the relaxed lifestyle. My excursions to the various islands are particularly remembered – Maui, Kauai and Big Island. On Big Island I was even allowed to see an active volcano – an unforgettable sight!
Another magical moment was to just go to the beach after class. This closeness to nature has made my everyday life so special. Whether at sunset at Waikiki Beach or on a hike through the impressive landscapes – Hawaii inspired me every time.
What I learned
The trip not only improved my English, but also let me grow personally. Traveling alone and making new friendships has made me more open and independent. I learned to master challenges and make the best of every situation.
Tips for future EF travelers
If you plan a language trip with EF, I recommend that I only plan the most necessary in advance and to stay flexible on site. Be open to new experiences and no worry to travel alone – you will quickly find like -minded people. With great care and a varied program, EF ensures that you feel safe and in good hands at any time.
Why Hawaii?
Hawaii has always been my dream destination – and it exceeded all of my expectations. This unique combination of big city life, fantastic beaches and untouched nature is simply unbeatable. It was so nice that I will not only remember this trip forever, but also smithy for my next visit.

Hawaii with EF was more than just a language trip – it was a trip that changed my life. I am grateful for all the experiences, friendships and the opportunity to realize one of my greatest dreams.
