Damien from France has improved his English in Brisbane for six months and tells more about his experience and valuable tips for future EF students on our blog.
After graduating from school, I chose a diploma in tourism and DeEScom (communication and event management).
Why did you choose a stay with EF?
I decided to go abroad to improve my English. It was crucial for me to be able to communicate effectively in English – of course for my professional interest and for travel.
Your educational/career path according to your EF experience?
I accepted a professional contract in a bar/wine cellar (as a communication manager) with the aim of opening my own bar at some point.
Your advice for future participants?
I can only recommend all voice travelers to be proactive: participation in courses, as many activities as possible and establish as many friendships as possible! Above all, avoid talking to other students from home in your language if you really want to make progress. And of course you should try not to miss any lessons unless it is really necessary.
